Hello, Streamliners!
It's June 18th, I'm Carson Fowler, and in this edition of our newsletter:
Surviving Ohio State, directed by Oscar-winner Eva Orner (from Clooney–Heslov’s Smokehouse Pictures), exposes one of the most harrowing sexual abuse scandals in U.S. collegiate sports. It chronicles how Dr. Richard Strauss, a longtime Ohio State team physician, abused at least 177 male students—primarily athletes—in invasive medical exams between 1978 and 1998, while the university ignored early warning signs from as far back as 1979.
You can find this this powerful documentary available now on HBO and HBO Max.
It's a really good week(+) for your favorites only on streaming: a new season of Hulu and FX's The Bear, the final season of Netflix's Squid Games, plus season two of "America’s Sweethearts", a 7-part series following the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders.

In a major move announced in November 2024, ESPN has struck a deal to license Inside the NBA, bringing the iconic studio show to its platforms starting with the 2025–26 season.
While the program will continue to be produced by TNT out of its Atlanta studios, ESPN will air Inside the NBA across its platforms and retain the advertising revenue. According to the LA Times, ESPN Chairman James Pitaro played a key role in securing the agreement, part of a broader effort by Disney to strengthen its studio programming lineup.
Despite the new partnership, TNT will maintain creative control over the show and retain the ability to develop other projects featuring its on-air talent. Under the agreement, Inside the NBA will appear during ESPN’s coverage of the NBA Finals, Conference Finals, and playoff games—offering pregame, halftime, and postgame segments. It will also be featured during ABC’s regular season broadcasts, including marquee matchups like the Christmas Day games and Sunday games after the New Year.
